Brendan Stone

Brendan is the founder of and Senior Financial Adviser at FinNest Financial. Brendan is a passionate believer that the right financial advice, tailored to your individual needs, can make a real and positive difference to almost anybody's financial position. Brendan in particular has a special affinity with people who are looking to grow and protect their wealth. Brendan specialises in devising and supporting personal financial strategies pertaining to wealth accumulation, wealth protection, pre retirement and post retirement.


Brendan has over 25 years’ experience in the finance and banking sector, including over 20 years as a licensed financial adviser.

Before founding FinNest Financial, Brendan was a senior financial adviser with iconic Queensland financial planning firm Whittaker Macnaught for the preceding ten years.


Brendan is a Certified Financial Planner and holds a Bachelor of Business from QUT.

Michael McGowan

Michael is our Personal Client Adviser. Michael is a skilled and experienced professional and an intelligent, energetic and ambitious person to boot!

Michael provides financial advice and client support for our existing and new clients. With over thirteen years of experience in a broad range of financial planning roles both in Australia and the UK, he brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge to enable him to provide the best strategic outcomes for our clients.

Michael has significant knowledge and experience in a number of key areas including Self-Managed Superannuation, Aged Care, Retirement Planning, Personal Insurance, Taxation, Wealth Creation and Borrowing to Invest. In fact, almost anything that our clients need to help Plan, Grow and Protect their wealth, Michael is adept at!

When Michael isn’t working or studying, Michael enjoys playing 1st division soccer for the Peninsula Power in the Queensland National Premier League.


Michael brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, cultivated by thirteen years of professional financial planning experience in diverse areas including paraplanning, management, advisory, research, portfolio construction and client liason roles.


Michael holds both a Diploma of Financial Planning and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning.

Mignon Witten

As our Client Services Officer, Mignon is an invaluable part of our team here to support our valued clients.  Mignon is an engaging and dynamic professional, with a great eye for detail and ambitiously driven to build an enduring career in the world of financial planning.  
Mignon is also a Mum to three young children and when her hands aren’t full at work or home enjoys pursuits such as photography and whipping up divine culinary delights!


Mignon has nearly 20 years of banking, insurance and finance experience in a widely diverse range of challenging roles.  Immediately before starting her position at FinNest Financial, Mignon was employed at the Australian Business Chamber of Commerce in South Africa as their Business Development Manager.


Diploma in Business Management and a Certificate in Wealth Management. Currently studying to attain a Bachelor of Business in Banking as well as a Diploma of Financial Planning and a Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking and Finance.

Chris Osborne

Chris is a key member of the FinNest team here to support our valued clients. Chris is our dedicated Paraplanner.

Chris enjoys putting his significant technical skills to work every day, and loves nothing more than exploring the breadth and depth of strategic complexity to get the best outcomes for our valued clients. 


Chris comes to us after successfully engaging in similar financial planning roles previously, and his experience shows in the pride and dedication he has for his work. He has clear aspirations to progress in the financial planning industry, and has actively engaged in further study and training to do so.


Chris has successfully completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance plus a Masters of Financial Planning.

Louise Stone

Louise supports key and critical roles within FinNest Financial. Louise not only provides paraplanning services for our clients, but also manages our office and digital media presence, ensuring our clients are informed of the most relevant and topical information pertaining to planning, growing and protecting their financial future.

Louise provides invaluable support to our clients and the FinNest business. Louise’s cheery nature and zeal to help others makes dealing with her a pleasure.


Louise has over 20 years’ experience in banking and personal financial advice. Louise spent over ten years as a credit analyst with Suncorp, as well support roles in ANZ and Esanda. Louise’s most recent position before becoming part of the FinNest team was as a paraplanner with Burrell Stockbroking.


Louise holds a Bachelor of Business from QUT as well as a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning)
